A Transformative Encounter
My AIESEC journey began during my first year of university. It was a time when the world was struggling with the pandemic challenges. The absence of the companionship of a traditional university experience left me yearning for something more.
That’s when AIESEC entered my life, offering a solution to the struggles in my mind.
Then my decision to attend the Leadership Development Seminar (LDS) organized by AIESEC in University of Kelaniya was a game-changer. Despite the virtual world surrounding me, this seminar became my first physical interaction with fellow AIESEC members. It was a transformative experience that brought together like-minded individuals and the friendships I hold dear to this day.
More Than Responsibilities
One of the most captivating parts of AIESEC to me is the roll calls. During AIESEC events, roll calls have the incredible power to turn stress from studying into pure excitement. It’s like a magical reminder that life is about more than just responsibilities and deadlines. It’s a time when the energy in the air changes, and you can’t help but feel alive and connected with everyone around you.
Skills and Growth
To me, AIESEC is a treasure trove of skills. Every step of the AIESEC journey contributes to personal growth. Working alongside other AIESEC members provides incredible opportunities for learning and mutual motivation.
Also, the culture of knowledge-sharing within AIESEC creates an environment of continuous improvement. Each interaction, project, event, and challenge in AIESEC is an opportunity to learn, evolve, and contribute. I can guarantee that AIESEC is a catalyst for personal development.

Another beautiful aspect of AIESEC lies in its diverse community. AIESEC members come from various backgrounds, bringing a rich tapestry of skills, perspectives, and ideas.
